The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Baltimore City, MD

In 2008, Envirens was brought in to help with the invasive exotic  vegetation control effort at The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services on Security Boulevard.  The property is divided into three natural areas that are designed to be a demonstration garden and outdoor oasis for the center’s employees.  Sidewalks, trails and observation decks are also provided for employees to enjoy the plants and wildlife that inhabit the area.  Unfortunately the site had an infestation of thistles, honeysuckle, multiflora rose and mile-a-minute that were threatening the integrity of the natural areas.  Envirens was contracted to carefully spray the invasives in the natural areas and surrounding environs on a bi-monthly basis to keep these species in check.
